Player Eligibility

Open to the children/siblings of volunteers or player VIP Buddy for AYSO.

Basic Requirements for AYSO

Parent/Sibling/Player must register as a volunteer on E-AYSO no later than November 15, 2009 in one of the following positions:

1. VIP Buddies
2. Youth Referees
3. Referee
4. Board Members
5. Head Coach
6. Team Manager
7. Assistant Coach
8. Pre-tournament volunteer as designated by Regional Commissioner or Tournament Director (Region 7 players only)

Teams will submit the names of eligible and available players along with their parent/sibling/ player volunteer title to the Wild Wing Tournament Director. Teams will be filled in with players in order from the above list (i.e., all VIP Buddies will be placed on a team, then Youth Referee players, then referee children - etc. down the line). Player eligibility does not guarantee placement on a tournament team.

Additional Requirements for Region 7 Volunteers

Player eligibility above must be met, and in addition, player families must also:

1. Volunteer for two work shifts during the tournament per child that participates in the tournament. A referee parent who signs up to referee three games during the tournament will meet the family volunteer obligation for all children in the family participating in the tournament.

2. The volunteer must be an adult (or youth referee) related to the player, unless the designated volunteer is pre-approved by the Tournament Director or Regional Commissioner.

3. A list of volunteer positions will be posted on the web. Positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Failure of a family to sign up for the requisite volunteer shifts within a week of the tournament will result in the dropping of that family's player(s) from their team(s), and the next player in line will be given the opportunity to play.

All of the volunteer positions are necessary for the success of this tournament. There are no small jobs, they are all equally important!

There will be a schedule, and every effort will be made to ensure that you will be able to see your player's games. However, there are no guarantees.

There will be a $75 deposit for the tournament uniform per player. This will be refunded to you , provided you have returned your uniform and met your tournament obligations. Each position will be signed off by the Tournament Supervisor associated with that task. If an emergency arises and you need to send a substitute you MUST alert the Tournament Director and the Regional Commissioner to the change. A no-show or an unapproved substitute will result in the loss of your $75 deposit.

All volunteers must be registered on E-AYSO by November 15, 2009.

Board members are encouraged to volunteer for the tournament supervisor positions
